چکیده

* corresponding author. e-mail: [email protected] The interaction of Mo(VI) and tetrazolium violet (TV) has been examined. The ion-associate formed is extracted into 1,2-dichloroethane. The tetrazolium violet : molybdenum(VI) : 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid ratio (R) is 2 : 1 : 2. The optimum conditions have been established. Beer’s law is obeyed in the range of 0.2–5 μg ml–1 molybdenum(VI). The molar absorptivity of the complex is (1.30 ± 0.08) × 105 L mol–1 cm–1. The sensitivity of the method is 7.4 × 10–4 μg cm–2. It is possible to extract and determine molybdenum in the presence of a large number of cations and anions. The characteristic values for the extraction and the aqueous phase equilibria were determined. A sensitive and selective method for determination of molybdenum(VI) microquantities in soils has been developed.

Application of Differential Kinetic Method Using ANN with a New Synthetic Reagent for Simultaneous Spectrophotometric Determination of Mercury and Palladium

A new selective reagent was used for simultaneous determination of mercury and palladium in real samples with their different kinetic spectrophotometric properties. The method is based on the difference in the rate of the oxidation reaction of the recently synthesized reagent, nitro benzoyl diphenylmethylen phosphorane (N-BDMP), with Hg2+ and Pd2+. The kinetic profiles were monitored and record...

Spectrophotometric Determination of Trace amounts of Molybdenum(VI) Using 4-Hydroxybenzaldehydethiosemicarbazone

The reagent 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (4-HBTS) has been used for the determination of Mo(VI) by spectrophotometric method. The reagent 4-HBTS gives green colour with Mo(VI) solution of weak acidic medium and the maximum absorbance was observed at 365nm, in acidic buffer p H 6.0. The molar absorptivity and Sandell’s sensitivity of Mo(VI)4-HBTS complex are 1.25 x 10 L mol cm and 0.0...

Synthesis of 6-(Phenanthrene-3-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1,2,4,-triazine-3-thione as a New Reagent for the Non-Extractive Spectrophotometric Determination of Cu(II)

A simple, sensitive, and non-extractive spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of copper (II) using a newly synthesized chromogenic reagent, 6-(phenanthrene-3-yl)-1,2,4,-triazine-3-thione(PhDTT), in Tween 80 neutral surfactant. To synthesize the reagent (PhDDT), amyl nitrite was added to 3-acethylphenanthrene and refluxed for 26 hours to produce 2-oxo-2-(phenanthren-3...

UV-vis spectroscopic study directly detecting inorganic phosphorus in urine and our reagent kit.

The determination of inorganic phosphorus in human urine is very important, since it has diagnostic value in some clinical cases. Here we apply a simple, sensitive and direct method to determine inorganic phosphorus in urine. This new ensemble is prepared by adding ytterbium chloride and pyrocatechol violet in a 2:1 molar ratio in an aqueous solution of 10 mM 2-[4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazinyl...

SOLVENT EXTRACTION AND SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF Mo(VI) BY USING ACETOPHENONE 2’,4’-DIHYDROXY SEMICARBAZONE AS AN ANALYTICAL REAGENT

Acetophenone 2’,4’-dihydroxy semicarbazone (A24DHS) as a photometric reagent for the extractive spectrophotometric determination of Molybdenum (VI) is presented in this paper. The reagent A24DHS gave instantaneous and stable yellow colour with Molybdenum (VI) in the pH range 1.6 to 2.4. The system obeys Beer’s law in the concentration range of 1.0 μg/mL to 8.0 μg/mL at 370 nm. The Limit of Dete...
